Chris Iverson / CIM Record

Independent Songwriter/Singer/Producer/Publisher/Recording Artist/Record Company Owner

"It all began on a beautiful Spring Break evening in Newport Beach, California."  "I was sitting around a fire and one of the young ladies staying at the beach house my roommate and I crashed at for a few days brought out her guitar and started playing."  "She was good and I was captivated by this seaside serenade."  "Soon, she played the intro to my favorite song at the time; "Stars" by Dan Fogelberg."  "As she sang, I was so completely mesmerized by her voice and playing that I fell in love with her...for three days!"  I decided then that one day I would be able to pick up a guitar and sing a cool song."

Southern California singer/songwriter Chris Iverson has been writing songs since 1977 when he wrote his first song a couple of months after buying his first guitar.  Since then, he has written over 600 songs throughout the years.

"I started out wanting to be a jazz guitarist and composer, studying with Charles Radino (aka Charlie Raye) and then the legendary Ted Greene, but my inclination to write folk-rock songs was too strong to ignore," said Chris.  "The more songs I wrote, the further I found myself drifting from jazz."

Early influences were the songs of Bob Dylan, Dan Fogelberg, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and his songwriting hero, Jackson Browne.  "As I thought about songs and songwriting, I came to believe that; other than current events; every feeling, emotion and desire had been written about in one fashion or another."  "I mean, Paul Vance and Lee Pockriss wrote "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini!"  "What else was there to write about!"  I was more of an autobiographical writer and the exposure to Jackson Browne's songs showed me that this was the direction for me."

Chris' first album credit was on the album "Songs From Suicide Bridge," the debut album by Eric Caboor and David Kauffman, later known as "The Drovers."  Soon afterward in 1984, he recorded his first album, "Life Away (1984)."  "This was my demo album," said Chris.  "I figured if nothing happened for me, at least I would have an album to my credit."  "The album was "very low budget" and I had never been in a recording studio before, but we had fun and we made a record that went nowhere!!"

After showcasing in Los Angeles with his own support band, in 1988 partnered with Greg Thomson and Frank Senteno and wrote and performed as the band "Ten Sons."  "We were a good band but the demands of parenting my two young daughters became my priority and I sadly left the band in 1993."

Since then Chris went on to record and release:

"In the autumn of 2025, a friend of mine sent me a few songs that he had created with the AI music generating platform, Suno.  I was amazed by the quality and the final product so I played with it for free."  "I realized that this was something real and I dove into the deep end of music generation."  As of now, using my own songs and lyrics, I have generated dozens of songs for my roster of AI performers/personas."  "I will begin releasing the songs under each persona in January, 2026."  "My personas are: John Cole (Modern Country), Adam Lane (Modern Appalachian Country) , The Nashville Roses Modern Female Country Group), Olivia Wynn (Modern Country).
